Welcome to the Gallery
Explore the work of Maung Maung Tinn, a refugee artist from Burma whose paintings give voice to his people's struggles and hopes. Each collection represents a different period of his artistic journey.
Maung Maung Tinn is a refugee artist from Burma, born in Karen state in 1969. Since arriving in Mae Sot, Thailand in 1995, he has dedicated his life to painting, using his art to raise awareness about the struggles of the Burmese people. His works, primarily in watercolor, are inspired by photographs taken by friends inside Burma and along the border.
Through his paintings, he gives voice to those who have been displaced, suffered violence, and continue to hope for a better future. The proceeds from his artwork help support poor families along the Thai-Burma border.
